It is a practical programme that combines basic journalism skills with new technology. Students will learn about how AI and big data change the way news is gathered, made, and shared. Also, students can learn how to use data journalism techniques for telling news stories more effectively and get a chance to try the popular technical tools which are being used in the media industries.

The School of Communication at Hong Kong Baptist University was originally founded in 1968. It provides a comprehensive range of programmes in communication available in Hong Kong at the undergraduate and postgraduate level.
Within the four-year undergraduate curriculum for the Bachelor of Communication (Honours) Programmme, the School offers three choices of major to follow the General Education and core communications courses.
